La Barrosa, one of the two beaches in Andalusia that extends the Adapted Bathroom service

Chiclana's beaches, considered among the best in all of Spain, reinforce their adapted bathroom services thanks to the agreement signed between the AXA Foundation, the Red Cross and the support of the Chiclana City Council in collaboration with the Andalusian company NOVAF.

In this way, the bathroom module adapted for people with mobility problems, located on La Barrosa beach, will now have a special area, in which mobility sessions with a physiotherapist, exercises for the development of mobility with dumbbells, balls and elastic straps, a space for massages and incorporates entertainment staff with activities for adults or children. In addition, the technical aid equipment is renewed, with a new amphibious chair, amphibious crutches and walkers.


At the national level, there will be eight beaches that have these special areas set up by the AXA Foundation. Two of them, in Andalusia.


Juan Pedro Vázquez, representative of the AXA Foundation, the mayor of Chiclana, José María Román, and the president of the Red Cross in Cádiz, Rosario García Palacios, visited the facilities of the adapted bathroom module on La Barrosa beach where they will all lend themselves these services with the collaboration of the Andalusian company NOVAF.
